Biometric security provider ImageWare Systems has introduced IWS CloudID, its next-generation identity software platform for the cloud. With the IWSCloudID platform users can securely manage their identity needs. The system enables users to do a variety of identity tasks, ranging from secure credential creation to investigative and biometrics integration. The platform consists of three software layers that include both client and server software modules to enable customized configuration and reusable identity frameworks. This generation of the product adds more flexibility through vendor independent plug-in approaches, and it can function either through an on-premise client server or through the cloud. The first, IWS CloudID Server Platform, contains modules for adding or enhancing existing biometric ID management and credential issuing capabilities. These can be added to existing application or used in new configurations. This server platform is based on the Biometric Engine 2.0. Next, IWS CloudID Business Services are software modules that give organizations the capability to leverage the IWS CloudID Server Platform. Finally, IWS CloudID Applications are client-based apps that enables companies to add biometric ID credentialing and management quickly through an out-of-the-box system, according to ImageWare.
