Blister pack software verifies data

Atlantic Zeiser, a leading supplier of industrial drop-on-demand (DoD) inkjet printing systems, has created a blister pack solution that includes best-of-class serialisation and late-stage customization technologies and operates with widths of 150 mm to 375mm with cut and seal to create a complete production process and help combat counterfeit medicines. According to the company, the primary elements in this solution are a fully dedicated high resolution 600dpi blister foil module using Sensecure and Smartcure inks. This DoD printing solution delivers offset-like printing results for frequently changing text, graphics, numbers, bar codes, 2D codes and Datamatrix codes. For maximum flexibility, it can be used inline, nearline or offline. Roll-to-roll near line and offline solutions offer the greatest flexibility and the economic means of working, especially for smaller production batches. The product is also an option for late-stage customization, and printing and encoding of variable data. Both include a standalone camera and a capacitive sensor for error and double sheet detection. According to the company, the software solution verifies data from capture, production and management, including logistics, stock and life-cycle control, bringing peace of mind to manufacturers, pharma shops and end consumers.
