New laser system introduced at EuroID

Photonenwerke introduced the world’s most compact all-in-one laser marking system at the EuroID trade show in Frankfurt. In contrast to classic marking lasers, which are often systems with separated processing heads and supply units, this new product does not exceed the dimensions of a shoebox in total. The ZEICHENLASER 01 is meant to bring laser marking into classic print applications, where complexity and investment cost of laser equipment used to be prohibitively high in the past.

The ZEICHENLASER 01 is a commodity laser tool for industrial serialisation and individualisation of parts. This versatile marking system is dedicated to high quality requirements in low to medium performance applications. The added value for the user is simple printer-like integration and operation, as well as a high system availability through a very robust, maintenance-free architecture. The unit is sealed off (IP54) and fits into climates from 15°C to 40°C.

Any 2D laser marks like crisp logos, codes (datamatrix, barcodes, etc.), forms with variables or any individual vector graphics can be applied directly onto surfaces of parts. For a variety of materials laser preferences are pre-installed. This enables even novice users to achieve high contrasts and fine markings.

For polymer processing customers Photonenwerke serves as one-stop source for both, the tool and the material. Photonenwerke develop and supply application specific laser pigment compositions, compounds and master batches. These tuned materials have excellent IR-light absorption properties that ensure ideal carbonization on plastics. Optimising the marking contrast is the best way to secure high read rates at the backend in AutoID projects.
