Employees at Legic are already using NFC-based badges with several applications on a daily basis, the company has announced. Visitors are also met with the mobile phone, which opens doors, orders photocopies or pays for drinks in automatic vending machines. The company says it has been using badges based on Near Field Communication (NFC) – alias smartphones – in addition to card-based badges to open doors or print documents by laying the mobile phone on a reader at the photocopier. Employees with an NFC badge have the possibility to use all contactless applications.
